| The Southern Colorado Economic Forum (SCEF) is the pre-eminent economic forum in the region which examines and explains the dynamics of the local area business and commercial economy. The Southern Colorado Economic Forum is held every October to provide the community with an update of area economic and quality of life indicators. The Forum also electronically publishes its Quarterly Updates and Estimates (QUE) in order to keep the business community informed on economic activity in the region. |
SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small
Business” -- a business partner of the U.S. Small Business
Administration.
SCORE provides free, confidential business counseling to
existing and prospective businesses. In addition, a free
workshop “Should You Start Your Own Business” is
provided regularly at Penrose and East Library locations.
The local SCORE chapter has 40 volunteers with broad business
expertise, dedicated to helping entrepreneurs grow their
